Last week a devastating tropical cyclone - Cyclone Nargis - ripped through Burma's agricultural heartland, the Irrawaddy delta. The official death toll stands at around 22,980, and left 42,119 missing, this number is sure to increase significantly. Aid workers are already stating there may be up to 100,000 dead and millions homeless.
